Long Live This Queen is the new album from Big Fuss (Harry Irvine). It is their debut release under Improv's Greatest Hits, the label set up by them and Harry Furniss.

'This album was a push into self liberation (this queen being me ofc). I have been changing as a person and there has been a change to my process as a result. It has slowed a little and I'm working with new ideas away from more traditional "jazz" sounds and rhythmic pieces, instead working more on texture. Because of this, I have enjoyed working in the new context of it being for Improv's Greatest Hits as I also put a lot into that and so it's nice for the two to come together like this.

I have explored collaboration in different ways on this album, most poiniently with Bearer (Jack Simmonds) as we haven't worked on recorded music together much and it felt like newer territory for both of us. Also featured is Iceman Furniss (Harry Furniss), a long-standing, trusted Improv master/collaborator. I always massively enjoy playing with the both of them and appreciate their influence over my music so I gladly invited them to contribute on this. To me they give the album its unique colour when compared to the rest of my Big Fuss collection.'
